‘… Joel, I know that this is REALLY late- but…’ I started far too many of my conversations with this special person in this manner while either trying to get edit time booked for station promos at 17 or scrambling later on to order client dubs as Sales Manager at Shooters. Usually he would kindly sigh and say something like ” OK this time Ed, but please…”
What a lovely man! I last saw him many years ago at Franklin Field and teased him about sitting on the ‘wrong’ side at the Penn-Cornell game.
Later on we chatted a few times when Chad was drafted by the Raiders and I was working out here in San Francisco. I loved his spirit.

In my dealings with Joel he was always professional and a gentleman. He was always pleasant and posessed good energy. He was proud of his company and when he talked about his children his face would light up with pride. Joel was a very good man, we will miss him.
