What Is Encoding?

Posted by Peter on August 1, 2006

Encoding is the transfer of video and audio to digital formats which can be used for DVDs, CDs, Internet Content, and Multi-Media presentations. Action Duplication’s new encoding suite is designed to produce high quality digital video and audio files from your content. MPEG 2 files for DVDs and MPEG 1 files for multimedia can be created at various image sizes, aspect ratios and bit rates. Using a variety of codecs, the system also creates AVI, and QuickTime® files for multi-media and MPEG 4, Windows Media and Real Media files for streaming your video on the web. Action Duplication’s clients can now provide us with uncompressed video on a hard disk for transcoding to MPEG 2 for DVDs or to any of the other formats. The system creates digital content in real time, allowing very high quality encoding to be done quickly and inexpensively. For more information, call us at 800-847-3827 or email us.
